RIYADH — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement via video conference with a civil society organization to support orphan care and economic empowerment in earthquake-affected areas in northwestern Syria. The agreement aims to provide monthly cash sponsorships to support 1,000 orphaned children in the town of Jandairis, Aleppo Governorate, Syria. This will help strengthen the resilience of orphans in the face of the daily challenges they face and will also empower 400 mothers of orphans economically by providing them with in-kind grants and technical vocational training related to the labor market. This step comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to care for orphans and improve their living conditions in Syria. The agreement was signed by the Assistant Supervisor General of the Center for Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz.
