Typhoon Trami, locally known as Tropical Storm Kristine, has displaced and affected over 5.7 million people in the Philippines, with the death toll rising to 85, local media reported on Sunday. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, more than 5.78 million individuals —equivalent to over 1.41 million families— have been affected by the storm across 8,895 villages, as reported by the Manila Times. In response to the crisis, approximately 91,189 families have been relocated to shelters in evacuation centers, with 158 cities and municipalities placed under a state of emergency.
