The CEDA meeting, which was held on Wednesday via video conference, discussed a report on the Kingdom's Vision Realization Programs 2030 for the first quarter of 2024, presented by the Council's Strategic Management Office. The report covered the most remarkable achievements of the Vision Realization Programs and their strategic objectives, as well as an assessment of their performance, a comprehensive view of the performance of their programs, in addition to the ongoing efforts and future aspirations for the current year.
During the meeting, the Council reviewed a number of other reports and topics on its agenda, including the quarterly presentation submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning regarding the economic report for the second quarter of 2024. This report included an analysis of the global economy and financial markets, developments in the national economy and its most prominent indicators, such as the recovery of the non-oil economy in the second quarter of this year by 4.9 percent on an annual basis, and the stability of general inflation rates at 1.5 percent in July.
The report highlighted the strength of the national economy and the effectiveness of the measures and procedures taken to confront global economic variables. The presentation also addressed future expectations for the national economy, and what was contained in the most prominent reports issued by international organizations and local authorities in this regard.
The CEDA also reviewed some other reports including the annual report of the Public Investment Fund for 2023, the annual report on traffic safety for 2023, the semi-annual 7th report of the Ministerial Committee for the Social Support and Assistance System, and the report on the results of the work of the Permanent Committee for Price Control for the second quarter of 2024.
