At least 92 Palestinians were killed and 130 others injured in the last 24 hours as Israel continues its onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip, the territory's Health Ministry said on Sunday. "The Israeli occupation committed nine massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, leaving 92 martyrs and 130 injured during the past 24 hours," the ministry said in a statement. "Many people are still trapped under rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them," the statement added. Despite the International Court of Justice's provisional ruling, Israel continues its offensive in the Gaza Strip where at least 31,645 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and 73,676 injured since October 7, according to Palestinian health authorities. Israel has been targeting the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas, which Tel Aviv claims killed nearly 1,200 people. The conflict has resulted in 85% of the territory's population being displaced internally, facing acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine. Moreover, 60% of the enclave's infrastructure has been reported as damaged or destroyed, the UN states. Israel faces accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice, where an interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to cease genocidal acts and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches civilians in Gaza. Nevertheless, hostilities have persisted, and the provision of aid remains critically inadequate to meet the needs of the humanitarian crisis. — Agencies
