Saleh Fraeed Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Secretary General of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Adnan Mandora received on Monday the Belgium trade commissioner at AWEX Riyadh Jean-Jacques Manigart . The meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation with the private sector in the industrial field and the JCCI secretary general has called for a boost in bilateral relations and trade between Belguim and Saudi Arabia. “We need to intensify mutual cooperation between the two countries, including visits by business delegations and participation on various occasions in order to open new horizons of cooperation and to bolster economic cooperation,” Mandora said. Meanwhile, the Belgium trade commissioner emphasized the desire of the Belguim private sector in developing and boosting bilateral trade and investment ties with the Kingdom and to increase the volume of bilateral trade between the two countries and peoples in various economic sectors and fields and pointed out the need to harness all available opportunities for this purpose. Mandora pointed out that trade exchanges between the two countries has reached SR20 billion during the last few years and noted that the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed recently with the Belgium side a memorandum of understanding in order to encourage investment opportunities between the two countries.
