The General Assembly of the United Nations adopted April 22 every year as “International Day of Mother Earth”, It is a day of awareness and attention to the environment of our planet. The phrase “Mother Earth” is common in a number of countries and regions and is intended to portray planet Earth to reflect the interdependence between humans and other living beings as well as the place we live in. A lot of support is needed to protect the earth among all segments of society. It is a day of social responsibility for everyone. All staff of the Crowne Plaza Jeddah Hotel, headed by the Hotel General Manager, Rafique Izhiman, attended the celebration on that day. They cleaned the Ma'adi Street and planted seeds in its gardens.
