RIYADH — Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has joined hands with the Ministry of Defense and received support from the General Authority of Military Industry (GAMI) to embark on a groundbreaking initiative aimed at strengthening the nation's defense capabilities. This momentous effort involves the inauguration of a new production line specifically dedicated to software-defined multi-band radio systems (SDRs). SAMI's latest collaboration is carried out in partnership with the globally acclaimed L3Harris Technologies, with the pivotal role of producing these cutting-edge radio systems locally in Riyadh being undertaken by SAMI-AEC. As a longstanding leader in electronic manufacturing capabilities, SAMI-AEC is set to manufacture these innovative radio systems as part of the joint venture between SAMI and L3Harris Technologies.
