SAUDI Agilent Technologies, a company which is doing business in the field of laboratory certification, inspection, testing and calibration, has named Motabaqah, the Saudi Specialized Laboratories Co., as the exclusive authorized provider of repair and calibration services for Agilent electronic test and measurement equipment in the region. The announcement came during a two-day metrology forum earlier this month in Al-Khobar inaugurated by Agilent Technologies and attended by national and international companies. Benoit Neel, vice president and general manager of Middle East, North Africa and Europe field operations of Agilent, said the commitment to metrology by private laboratories plays a very important role in protecting the national economy, consumers, manufacturers and importers from encountering counterfeited goods that do not conform to Saudi and international standards. Neel said “we are very excited to partner with Motabaqah as our exclusive Authorized Service Provider in Saudi Arabia.” “Their experience and vast sectors laboratories and possession of the latest state-of-the-art technology and equipment give them excellent capability to perform inspection, testing and calibration according to the latest international specifications.” Ghanium Nasser Al-Bagmi, Motabaqah's managing director, said that Agilent is one of the largest manufacturers of inspection and measuring equipment in the world. He said “they have signed an agreement with us to be the exclusive authorized service provider in Saudi Arabia and other Arabian Gulf States (Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Oman and Kuwait) as well as Jordan.” He further said “this new level of certification means that Motabaqah will provide exactly the same repair and calibration services as other Agilent service centers around the world, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction possible.” — By Sultan Al-Sughair
