Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef inaugurated at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre on Sunday the exhibition of the National Strategy for Industry, attended by a number of ministers, decision-makers and leaders of the industrial private sector in the Kingdom. In a speech following the official inauguration ceremony of the three-day event, Al-Khorayef stressed that the National Strategy for Industry is a national strategy for job-seekers and innovators, designed by stakeholders in the government sector in partnership and integration with the private sector and a realistic and actual one. He disclosed that the strategy's goals would push Saudi non-oil exports to a SR557 billion target by 2030, and reach SR890 billion by 2035. He affirmed that technology today is replacing the limited-skilled workforce, and will develop as one of our most important industry components in the Kingdom. He reassured that the Saudi workforce will not be negatively affected by this technology. He asserted that all these changes would create great opportunities for industry in the Kingdom. — SPA
