RIYADH — The Shoura Council has virtually held its 36st ordinary session of the second year of the eighth session under the chairmanship of the Vice-President of the Council Dr. Mishaal Al-Salmi. After listening to the Islamic Affairs Committee' views, the Shoura Council has approved on Monday the draft of the civil transactions law. It also agreed during the session on a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the labor field between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) and the Ministry of Labor in Azerbaijan. In the same session, several agreements were announced, including: approval of two draft agreements in the employment field, as well as an agreement to open the field of hiring of domestic workers between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Burundi. Meanwhile, the Shoura Council has agreed on a draft memorandum of understanding between the General Authority for Statistics and the British National Statistics Office. In Monday's session, a number of council members requested to obligate banks, companies and government agencies to use the unified toll-free number (800), in order to respond to customer service.
