King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the UN University for Peace Sunday signed a cooperation program that covers several fields. Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah and UN University for Peace Permanent Observer David Fernández Puyana signed the program at the center's headquarters in Riyadh. Under the program, a cooperation and partnership framework will be established between the two sides in the educational and training programs, building capacity, preparing studies and research in the humanitarian work field. This is in addition to exchanging invitations to participate in conferences, symposiums and exhibitions concerned with humanitarian and relief affairs. This is part of strategic partnerships of KSrelief with international and regional institutions to enhance cooperation and develop the institutional work infrastructure in the center in a way that serves humanitarian work and enhances its mechanism. Dr. Al Rabeeah has earlier met with Puyana. The meeting went over issues of joint interests concerned with humanitarian and relief affairs and means to enhance them. The two, in addition, discussed the role of humanitarian work in instilling the values of understanding, tolerance and peaceful co-existence among all countries and peoples of the world and alleviating the severity of humanitarian crises resulting from conflicts. The permanent observer commended the strategic partnership between the two sides to improve the living conditions and serve affected people around the world, referring to the international reputation and prestigious status achieved by KSrelief in the field of humanitarian work. — SPA
