Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh paid tribute to the 32nd International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs currently in progress here under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, describing this session as distinguished, especially under these exceptional circumstances.
The minister noted that Saudi Arabia applies what was mentioned in the conference in terms of maintaining the homeland, loyalty and supporting the leadership and refraining from being driven by terrorist and extremist groups that seek to destroy homelands at the ideological level.
He also said that this session is an extension of the previous one as it seeks to achieve unity, boost loyalty, face extremist and terrorist ideologies, and highlight the position of true Islam through conviction.
Dr. Al Al-Sheikh met with Deputy President of the Swedish Iftaa Council Sheikh Hassan Mousa, on the sidelines of his current visit to Egypt to participate in the conference.
During the meeting, they reviewed several issues of mutual interest in the Islamic field and subjects that can serve Islamic action according to the moderation approach and combating hate speech.
Sheikh Hassan commended the efforts provided by the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia in serving Islam and Muslims and spreading moderation.
Dr. Al Al-Sheikh also met with Grand Mufti of North Macedonia Sheikh Shaker Fattaho. They discussed several issues of mutual interest and subjects concerned with Islamic action and cooperation for the good of Muslims in North Macedonia.
The minister also met with President of the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe Sheikh Muhajiri Zayyan, where they exchanged cordial talks and discussed several issues that serve Islamic action in addition to reviewing the activities of the federation in the Islamic field.
Earlier, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh met with President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Chad Dr. Mahamat Khatir Issa, on the sidelines of his official visit to the Egypt conference.
During the meeting, they exchanged talks of common interest and bilateral cooperation between the Ministry and the Council in serving the Islamic work in its various fields, especially those related to spreading moderation.
