RIYADH – Saudi Arabia's Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili conferred the former military attache at the US Embassy in Riyadh, Major General Wendell Glenn Hekler, the King Abdulaziz Medal of the second degree, following orders issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. At a ceremony held at the headquarters of the General Staff, Lt. Gen. Al-Ruwaili thanked Major General Heckler for his efforts and deeds during his tenure as military attaché of the United States of America in Riyadh, while wishing him success in his new mission and his future career. For his part, Major General Hekler thanked the government of Saudi Arabia for the hospitality and honor extended to him, praising the existing and continuing military cooperation between the two countries. The ceremony was attended by several senior officers of the armed forces.
