Saudi Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai achieves record number in daily visits
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 10 - 2021

Saudi Pavilion participating in Expo 2020 Dubai on Friday achieved a record number of daily visits by receiving 23,000 visitors in one day, making the total number of visits during the first two weeks of its inauguration more than 200,000 visitors from various age groups and nationalities.
This is in addition to the high-level diplomatic delegations from various brotherly and friendly countries. This achievement is added to the list of achievements and records that the pavilion has realized since its launch on Oct. 1.
Eng. Hussain Hanbazazah, the commissioner-general of Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, expressed happiness for the positive feedback and great interaction shown by the global audience visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai during the first half of the month.
He stressed that the pavilion, since its first day, has succeeded in attracting the attention of visitors through its sections and activities that reflect the humanitarian wealth and civil and development components of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Kingdom has offered a diversified content based on four main pillars: nature, heritage, bio-community and the economic opportunities that Saudi Arabia offers to the world, in addition to showcasing a station for energy and sustainability and a brilliant presence for Saudi heritage crafts, popular folklore shows and famous dishes from various regions of Saudi Arabia.
The pavilion of Saudi Arabia at Expo 2020 Dubai, the biggest following the host country's pavilion, has realized three records attested by the Guinness World Records through the biggest interactive illuminated floor, the tallest interactive water curtain and the biggest mirror with interactive digital screen.
The design of the pavilion building too forms an iconic architecture that nominates it to join the list of the most famous buildings in the world, especially that the design is in line with the highest standards of environmental sustainability.
The design also received the platinum certificate of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design from US Green Building Council (USGBC) for its being one of the most sustainable designs in the world for its being fully dependent on renewable energy for its operations, which highlights the sustainability principle that the external design of the building represents. — SPA
