Saudi foreign minister discusses bilateral relations in meetings with Uzbek leaders

TASHKENT — Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the venue of an international conference on Uzbekistan here on Friday.
During the meeting, which took place after the conference, the Saudi foreign minister congratulated the Uzbek president on the success of the conference.
The two sides also touched on the importance of enhancing bilateral investment in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which provides many promising opportunities, especially in technology, innovation and renewable energy.
They also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in all fields to serve the aspirations of the two countries, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international events, and issues of common interest.
Prince Faisal met with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulaziz Kamilov on the sidelines of the conference.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral and sought to expand them in various fields through the Saudi-Uzbek Joint Committee in order to achieve the aspirations of the leadership and people of the two countries.
The importance of exploring bilateral investment opportunities in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, especially in the areas of innovation, technology and vital sectors, was also discussed.
The two sides also reviewed the "Green Saudi Arabia" and "Green Middle East" initiatives launched by recently Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, which will strongly contribute to achieving global goals of preserving the environment and protecting the planet.
