With the participation of Prince Abdullah Bin Khalid Bin Sultan, Saudi Ambassador to Austria who is also the Saudi Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, and the CEO of the Nuclear and Radiation Control Authority, Dr. Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Issa, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Mariano Grossi, has laid the keystones for Nuclear Security Center in IAEA, which will be established within the capabilities of IAEA. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated to establish this center within its international efforts to strengthening the international security system, combating nuclear weapons, combating illicit trafficking in nuclear materials, and physical protection of nuclear and radiological facilities, in addition to strengthening countries capabilities to enhance nuclear security and counter nuclear terrorism. The operation of the center is scheduled to start in 2023, as this center will enhance the role of the IAEA in supporting countries to stay in the prevention of nuclear terrorism, and enhance the integration of the international security system to achieve greater safety and enhance the contribution of nuclear energy for peace and prosperity around the world. Its worth to mention that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has donated EUR8.3 million, and the United Kingdom pledged EUR2 million, and the United States pledged EUR1 million. — SPA
