RIYADH — The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has completed the electronic linking process of boarding pass of domestic flights for all Saudi national airlines. Under the system, boarding pass for domestic flights will be issued electronically only to passengers whose status in the Tawakkalna application is immune by vaccination of two doses or by first dose or by recovery of infection or not proven of infection. This procedure is one of the initiatives launched by GACA while taking advantage of the Kingdom's technical capabilities to improve the services for domestic passengers, by linking Tawakkalna with the passenger security systems and the systems of national airlines to provide the necessary flexibility to create an easy, healthy and safe journey at airports as well as on board the flights. This is also aimed at raising the efficiency of economic mobility and operational procedures, as well as at implementing the precautionary measures and preventive protocols recommended by the relevant committees. The initiative is the outcome of joint cooperation among partners representing government agencies such as the Presidency of State Security, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority and the Ministry of Health. It is, in addition, constructive cooperation between Saudi national airlines and Ilm Company in implementing the initiative within a short period of time with completing the required technical advancement and linking the systems among the agencies to ensure their success.
