GCC, others condemns Houthi's launching of bomb-laden UAV towards KSA
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 10 - 04 - 2021

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf condemned Friday the terrorist Houthi militia's launching of bomb-laden UAV towards Khamis Mushayt City, targeting civilians and civilian objects.
He stressed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflects its flagrant challenge to the international community and its disregard for all international laws and norms, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take a decisive stance to stop these repeated terrorist acts targeting the vital and civilian facilities.
Al-Hajraf lauded the vigilance and efficiency of the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Royal Saudi Air Forces, as well as their success in confronting all terrorist attempts carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia.
He affirmed the GCC's stand and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to defend its territories and preserve its security, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.
In Cairo, the Arab Parliament affirmed that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is a fundamental pillar of the Arab national security and represents a constant strategic depth in the national security system as a whole.
The parliament expressed in a statement yesterday its condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist Houthi militia attack on the city of Khamis Mushayt in the Kingdom with a drone that was successfully intercepted by the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen.
In its statement, the Arab Parliament warned of the ongoing violations of the terrorist Houthi militia, which is a translation of a malicious Iranian agenda aimed at destabilizing security and stability in the region.
The Parliament called on the international community to take urgent and decisive action to deter the terrorist Houthi militia from its crimes and move from the stage of condemnation and denunciation to taking deterrent stances to protect civilians from the continuous targeting.
The Arab Parliament renewed its affirmation of its full stand and solidarity with the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to protect and preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territories.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) too has strongly condemned and denounced the attempts of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia to systematically and deliberately target civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia through a bomb-laden UAV that was intercepted by the coalition forces in support of legitimacy in Yemen.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed in a statement that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi group reflects its blatant challenge to the international community and disregard for all international laws and norms, urging the international community to take an immediate and decisive stance to stop these repeated acts that target vital and civilian installations as well as Saudi Arabia's security, energy supplies and stability of the global economy.
The ministry renewed the UAE's full stand and solidarity with the Kingdom regarding these terrorist attacks, stressing that the security of the United Arab Emirates and the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is indivisible and that any threat to the Kingdom is considered by the UAE as a threat to its security and stability.
The Kingdom of Bahrain also strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's launching of bomb-laden UAV towards Khamis Mushayt City, targeting civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia in a flagrant violation of international laws and norms.
In a statement, Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its stand and solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all the measures it takes to preserve the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, praising the vigilance and readiness of the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen, which managed to intercept and destroy the bomb-laden UAV.
In Amman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's launching of bomb-laden UAV towards Khamis Mushayt, targeting civilians and civilian objects, in Saudi Arabia, where the coalition forces were able to successfully intercept and destroy them.
The spokesman for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, affirmed Jordan's permanent stance in condemning and denouncing these repeated terrorist acts that target civilian areas and vital installations, and constitute a flagrant violation of international law and aim to destabilize security and stability.
Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Dr. Yousef Bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi militia's launching of a ballistic missile at the city of Jazan and a drone (booby-trapped) at Khamis Mushayt in deliberate attempts to target civilians and civilian objects, as the coalition forces supporting legitimacy in Yemen managed to intercept and destroy them before reaching their targets.
He affirmed, in a statement, the OIC's condemnation of terrorist practices being committed by Houthi militia and those who supply it with money and weapons, considering this to be "war crimes".
Dr. Al-Othaimeen also renewed the organization's full stand and solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all the measures it takes to protect its security and stability as well as the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory. — SPA
