With all due respect to the American Constitution, which has safeguarded the unity of the United States and the warmth of its growth and supremacy for more than two and a half centuries, I would like to point out that this legacy does not mean that there had been no interference on the part of this country in the internal affairs of other countries. This is more evident especially after the victory of the Democratic Party in the American elections of 2020. Many statements about human rights in the Kingdom, the Jamal Khashoggi case, and even our fight against corruption have been made negatively in the United States. Regardless of all these, which they may be ignorant of, it is to be noted that we the people of the Kingdom do not care about these records that have become boring. We enjoy the fruits of effective functioning and transparency of our judiciary, public prosecution, high-level security apparatus, courts, trial and judgments. The legal profession has become one of the fastest growing professions in the Kingdom, thanks to the enhanced awareness, modernization of regulations and preservation of rights. The Kingdom is neither administered by military courts nor under the influence and power of the mafia as in the case of New York, Chicago and New Jersey in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s but by honorable Shariah judges who handle thousands of cases on a daily basis. It would suffice to take a peek into the sites of the Saudi Ministry of Justice to know the multitude of cases that are being litigated, which are in tens of thousands, covering commercial, criminal and personal ones. The Saudi people are concerned with this, and as such they accept the rulings and do not accept the interference of others. Moreover, every country has its own judicial system. While the United States enjoys a jury system for adjudicating cases, a large number of states in the rest of the world do not do so. Likewise, no other party has the right to say that the trial of the individuals who killed Jamal Khashoggi in a Saudi court is insufficient, especially since the Saudi government, on its initiative, allowed a number of representatives of countries of the world to attend the trial from the beginning until the pronouncement of the judgment after the appeal, and the perpetrators were sentenced to death. Even in punishments that include death penalty, we hear from outside that the Kingdom is harsh in its judgments, and this is measured by the number of annual executions of those whom the judiciary sentenced to death. It is strange and even surprising that the number of people who are executed in the Kingdom does not exceed 200 annually, while in the United States there are more than 2,800 prisoners, each of whom awaiting the day of their execution. In Texas alone, there are up to 500 inmates awaiting execution. Have you ever heard any criticism against the United States over the increase in cases of death sentences? Will America allow someone to accuse it of neglecting human rights? In exchange for all this, and even if we assume the permissibility of interfering in the affairs of other countries, there are rogue and repressive states, one of which is engaged in shooting in the streets of its capital city and other cities at those who took to streets calling for reform, such as Iran. In Turkey, thousands of people are imprisoned simply for opposing Sultan Erdogan. But no one wants to denounce or mobilize the media and other platforms to talk about this. Indeed, European countries and the United States these days are courting the corrupt ugliness of the Tehran government to agree to negotiations. However, it is all unacceptable to Saudis as they have awoken to their proper evaluation and awareness about all the stupid plans that are taking place around them, thanks to their loyalty to this land and its leadership. The Saudi government is moving forward vigorously by implementing development plans and leading the country to a global destination, not only in its tolerant religious aspect, but also in its social, cultural and tourism sectors, in addition to creating job opportunities plus an overall disciplined opening up. These are the Kingdom's priorities that have not and will not change no matter how high the cacophony is. The investment of Saudis is neither in responding to rented trumpets, nor in regimes and parties that are penetrated and overlooking their failings. They are also not paying attention to political hypocrisy that is no longer a secret. On the other hand, the priorities of Saudis are in building the country by their own hands as well as in continue maintaining high aspirations toward a promising future for the future generations.
