Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal launched virtually on Monday a two-day global conference to promote integrity in sports. The conference titled "International Conference on Governance and Compliance to Promote Integrity in Sports Community' is being organized by the Leaders Development Institute, an affiliate of the Ministry of Sports, in cooperation with the Oversight and Anti-corruption Authority (Nazaha) and participation of the College of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity, an affiliate of King Saud University, in its capacity as a scientific partner of the conference. The Minister of Sports delivered the opening speech, welcoming everyone, saying that the conference aims to provide a platform for scientific discussion on the procedures of governance and sports integrity, in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030. He said that that the conference is taking place at a time when we are witnessing unprecedented developments in our country at all levels, making Saudi Arabia a global hub for sporting activities as the Kingdom is playing host to many large international events and conferences in various fields and sectors in line with Vision 2030. The minister expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for the global conference that also enjoys great support from Crown Prince. Prince Abdulaziz also said that the conference has the great support of the wise leadership and is out of their keenness to apply the highest standards of governance and integrity in all sectors of the state in general, and the sports sector in particular.
