RIYADH — The G20 summit under the chairmanship of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud represents an important historical event at the local and international levels, said Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Sawahah on Friday. He also said the Kingdom under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman is proving day after day its distinguished leadership role in leading the world to seize the opportunities of the 21st century for all by empowering people, preserving the planet, and forming new horizons. Al-Sawahah made the remarks in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency. "Saudi Arabia has demonstrated the pivotal role that digitization and the digital economy can play in addressing current and future challenges and shaping new horizons through the adaptation of human-centered technologies to support global economic recovery efforts, Al-Sawahah said. "During the year of its G20 presidency, Saudi Arabia has worked to lead the consensus among the G20 countries concerning the most important priority areas in reliable artificial intelligence, free flow of data with confidence, smart cities, measuring the digital economy and security in the digital economy," he added.
