The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in cooperation with pertaining authorities at the Ministry of Interior has seized as many as 74 thousand illegal veterinary products. The move comes after a series of tours to track down a group of expatriate dealers and a two-month-long investigation. The authority closes two warehouses and a factory in the Eastern region as they were involved in trading these illegal products with an unknown source. The seized products included 54,173 packages of veterinary preparations in an unlicensed warehouse, 6,032 ready-made veterinary products, 50,000 empty packages in an unlicensed factory, 1777 veterinary products in another unlicensed warehouse, and 12,037 packages of veterinary preparations in three residential apartments in Dammam and Jubail. — SG
