MAKKAH — On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Makkah Emir Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, who is also an adviser to King Salman, will wash the Holy Kaaba on Thursday. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal will wash the Holy Kaaba from the inside with Zamzam water mixed with rose water, and wipe the walls with pieces of cloth dampened by the mix. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, chief of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, stressed the importance of the occasion of washing the Holy Kaaba, saying it is a manifestation of the great care that the wise leadership gives to the Holy Kaaba and the Two Holy Mosques. Dr. Al-Sudais indicated that washing the Holy Kaaba for this year will be under intensified precautionary measures due to the outbreak of coronavirus, stressing that the presidency is carrying out its work in accordance with the highest precautionary standards and preventive measures outlined by the Saudi government.
