DAMMAM — As part of precautionary measures to check the spread of coronavirus, the Eastern Province municipality, along with some other relevant authorities, has carried out hundreds of field inspection tours and detected scores of violations in the region. A total of 649 inspections were carried out in Al-Na'air governorate itself. The violations include indulgence in 48 activities excluded during curfew hours, 75 cases of overcrowding at malls and three instances of overcrowding at workers' residences, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. The teams issued warnings and imposed fines on a number of establishments, destroyed 6,272 kg of expired food and confiscated food items unfit for consumption.
