RIYADH — The Shoura Council on Monday approved a regulation to exempt military personnel, who are taking part in war or military operations, from procedures of ending of their service, travel ban and detention as are mentioned in the Implementation Law. The council also endorsed the draft law of accounting and auditing profession which aims to improve the performance of accounting and auditing professionals in the Kingdom by raising the level of accuracy and reliability of the data and financial statements of companies and public firms. It would also contribute to providing job opportunities to graduates with specializations in accounting and auditing professions. In another decision, the council called on the Capital Market Authority to expedite the preparation ofalegal framework to enhances the alternatives to savings for employees of joint stock companies. The council voted on a decision demanding the Board of Grievances to classify, print and publish the verdicts of its courts, and not to choose judgments from what the courts issue. In another decision, the council demanded Ministry of Haj and Umrah to provide adequate services to the Haj and Umrah pilgrims from among elderly people and those with special needs. It also called on the ministry to carry out a study on introducing electronic pathway for visitors to the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah.
