Energy Toastmasters Club bags most prizes in Area 24 contest

JEDDAH – Toastmasters Area 24 of Division G of District 104 conducted its annual speech contest with a theme "The spark is within you" recently. The contest comprised of four different categories; humorous speech, table topics, speech, evaluation, and international speech contests.
The clubs which are in Area 24 consist of Energy Toastmasters Club, Voice Toastmasters Club, Kamfi Toastmasters Club and Resilience Toastmasters Club.
The master of the ceremony TM Gina Casino set the stage and invited the Area 24 Director Khurram Jah Nasir to open the meeting formally.
Inspirational messages were delivered by DTM Abdullah Khoja, Division G, director and DTM Abdullah Flimban, District 104 director.
The Area 24 contest commenced with the Evaluations Speech Contest. It was preceded by a test speech delivered by TM Abdul Malik from Eagles Toastmasters Club. The first place in this contest was bagged by Bennifer Conciliation of the Kamfi Toastmaster Club; TM Abdulaziz Alharthi and TM Al Hassan Yousuf, both from the Energy Toastmaster Club took the first and second runner places. The chief judge for the contest was DTM Abdullah Badawood, and the contest master was TM Omar Aqeel Khan.
The International Speech was another interesting contest which was a 5 to 7 minutes speech delivered on a topic of speaker's choice devoid of sex, religion or politics, the contestants from the different clubs of Area 24 enthralled the audience with their inspirational and thought-provoking speeches. TM Abdulaziz Alharthi of Energy Toastmaster Club bagged the first place in the International speech while TM Hussain Alhabbab of Energy Toastmaster Club and TM Bennifer Concolician of Kamfi Toastmaster Club won the second and the third place respectively. DTM Joey Villanueva was the contest master for the contest and the chief judge was TM Fadel Almowallad.
In the Table Topic Speech Contest the contestants had to deliver an impromptu speech for 1 to 2 minutes on a topic given on the spot. The first place was bagged by Bennifer Conciliation of Kamfi Toastmasters Club, while the second and third place winners were Al Hassan Yousaf of Energy Toastmaster Club and Fatima Syed from Resilience Toastmasters Club. The contest was anchored by TM Khurram Jah Nasir and was judged by DTM Abdullah Badawood.
In the humorous speech segment, the first place was bagged by Hussain Alhabbab. Khaled Baharetha from Resilence Toastmaster club and Abdulaziz Alharthi from Energy Toastmaster Club took the first and second runner places. The chief judge for the contest was TM Fadel Almowallad and the contest master was TM DTM Joey Villanueva.
All the winners and runner ups were given plaques and the winner and the first runner up have qualified for the division contest which will be held on March 6 at Sared Hall in Saudia City.
