Thrilling matches were played in Future Initiative Cricket Tournament. This tournament is organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Future Initiative Contracting Establishment.
In Al Kharj League 40 overs tournament, Fonte Stars started on a winning note against L'usine CC. Fonte stars won by 1 wicket in a close encounter. L'usine piled up 304 in 34.2 overs mainly due to Mudassir Afridi 85(45) and Roshan Singh 124(81), Waheed Akhtar and Afaq Haider grabbed 3 wickets each. Fonte stars chased down the target in 34.1 overs as Majid Basheer 70(52), Shafeeq 58(38) and Atif 42(38). Shahryaar Malik grabbed 3 and Mudassir Afridi 2 wickets. Atif was declared man of the match for his 42 and 3 wickets.
Riyadh Aces started with a win, defeating Pakistan Falcons by 69 runs. Riyadh Aces scored 346 in 39 overs, mainly due to centuries from Abdullah Azhar 128 (92) and Danish Zafar 100(50). Asim Nawaz grabbed 4 wickets. Pakistan Falcons could manage 277 in 33.1 overs, Asghar Ali Khan 83, Asim Nawaz 71(44) waged a lone battle as his side succumbed to spin attack of Riyadh Aces. Syed Emaz grabbed 4 wickets and was adjudged man of the match for his 29 runs and 4 wickets.
In 2nd week, Fonte Stars defeated Shuraim CC by 7 wickets. Shuraim scored 278 in 39.3 overs as Waqas belted 77(66), Arif 44(43) and Yasir 45(44), Majid Basheer grabbed 4 wickets and Waseem took 3. Fonte Stars started their chase with a bang banking on double hundred partnership between Majid Bashir who belted 125(83) and Bilal Wani 128(85). Majid Basheer was declared nan of the match for his 125 & 4 wickets.
In Huraymala League T20 Tournament, SBH IMPEX CC won by 27 runs against Kashmir Strikers CC. SBH IMPEX CC scored 203/7 in 18 overs with Bilawal Ghafoor 57(26) and Zain Khan 54(23) being the chief scorers. Rehan Khan grabbed 2 wickets. Kashmir Strikers could manage 176/8 in 20 overs with Faizan Kashoo 58(34), Sameer Rather 54(34) scoring some quick fire runs to keep them alive in chase. Zain Khan grabbed 4 wickets. Zain Khan was declared man of the match for his 54 and 4 wickets.
Riyadh Blue defeated KFSH Green by 5 wickets. KFSH Green scored 183/6 in 20 overs as Ubaid muscled 60(40) and Nasir 46(34). Mazhar grabbed 3 wickets and Noor 2. Riyadh Blues chased down the target in 19.1 overs scoring 188/5. Mazhar led the chase with 83(55) supported by Naseer 31(17), Amir grabbed 2 wickets. Mazhar was declared man of the match for his 83 and 3 wickets.
Riyadh Warriors won against Pak Riderz CC by 8 wickets. Pak Riderz CC piled up 136/10 in 20 overs mainly due to Mohammed Irfan (Jr) 31(20), Aziz ur Rahman 23(23) and Ali Raza 22(26). Mohammed Arsalan grabbed 4 wickets. Riyadh Warriors chased down the target with ease scoring 137/2 as both openers Saleem Bin Salam 69(29), Abdul Azeez 40(28) fired on full cylinders scoring the required runs in 13.3 overs. Mohammed Arsalan was declared man of the match for his 4 wickets.
VIP Holidays won by 11 runs against Kohsar Blue CC. VIP Holidays piled up 185/4 in 19.5 overs banking on Talseen (Chand) 45(21), Abid Saeed 42(23). Qassim Omar Abbasi grabbed 5 wickets. Kohsar Blue could manage 174/7 in 20 overs due to Tahir Mushtaq 76(43) and Qassim Omar Abbasi 37(29). Muhammed Saeed and Arslan Noor grabbed 3 wickets each. Muhammad Saeed was declared man of the match for his 42 runs and 3 wickets.
Riyadh Blues defeated DIR Stars by 7 wickets. DIR Stars compiled 177/8 in 20 overs as Maaz 33(19), Umar 31(22) were the main contributors. Shakeel grabbed 2 wickets. Riyadh Blues scored 178/3 In 19.1 overs as Sufiyan 54(39), Shahbaz 40(34) ensured smooth sailing victory. Mazhar was adjudged man of the match for his 29 runs and 1 wicket. — SG
