RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce and Investment has asked the private sector establishments to benefit from the data on commercial registries available free of charge on its Wathq e-portal. It said as many as 402 private establishments have benefited from the portal since it was launched on experimental basis in mid-May this year. The ministry said the move was part of its support to the private sector to benefit from the electronic data within its smart applications. It pointed out that the e-portal was established to boost e-commerce, reinforce the digital transformation in the Kingdom, empower the private sector, boost the reliability of the electronic transactions, contribute to the growth of businesses and create new job opportunities. The users of the Wathq electronic gate can easily have data on the commercial registries of the companies and establishments including the commercial name, the date and history of the registry, the activities, the address, the capital, the geographic distribution and all other relevant information.
