RIYADH — The Kingdom and Russia have decided to enhance their cooperation in the field of media. In this connection, a cooperation accord was signed by Saudi Minister of Media Turki Al-Shabanah and Dmitry Kiselev, head of the Russian news agency Sputnik, at King Fahad Cultural Center in the capital city, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. The goal of this agreement is to implement projects aimed at developing media coverage, objective, and professional handling of various events in political, economic, social, cultural, humanitarian, and sports fields. It also seeks to promote convergence between Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation. The agreement includes the establishment of official headquarters for Sputnik in the Kingdom. The contract was signed in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin who was in the Kingdom recently for talks with the leadership.
