EPCA holds 40th annual exhibition match

The Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) honored the outstanding performers to play against last year champions of the 2018-2019 season at EPCA grounds recently.
Premier Division
Intelligent Honda C.C defeated EPCA Chairman Apollo XI by 48 runs. Batting first, IHCC posted 208-5. Afaq Ahmed made 84 not out off 43 balls with 4 towering sixes, Bilal Khan scored 39 off 18 and Mohsin Warrich scored 35. Nazim grabbed 2 wickets. In reply, ECA XI restricted to 160-10 in 20 overs. Saad Khan scored 30 off 20 balls. Majid grabbed 3 wickets while Zain, Bilal, Faheem claimed 2 wickets each. Afaq was declared man of the match.
Prime Division
Tamimi C.C defeated EPCA President Stallions XI Gladiators C.C by 3 runs. TCC, batting first totaled 236-4. Naqash scored 62 off 29 and Asghar scored 61 off 31. Umair Awan grabbed 2 wickets. In reply, EPSXI were restricted to 170-9 in 20 overs, Shamas score 36, Kamran claimed 3 wickets while Abdullah, Imran, Yasir, Mohsin and Asad grabbed 1 wicket each. Naqash was declared man of the match.
First Division
EPCA Vice President Commanders XI was the only EPCA Team to defeat last year champions Intelligent Hawks C.C. by 56 runs. EVPCXI scored 186-9 in 20 overs. Captain Abdul Mannan scored 57 off 28, Vineedh scored 36. Aamir Shahzad Goraya claimed 2 wickets. In reply, IHCC were bundled out for 130 in 18.1 overs. Nisar scored 37 off 20. Vineedh grabbed 3 wicket, Waseem and Abdul Mannan took 2 wickets each. Abdul Mannan was declared Man of the Match.
Bilal from Aftab Spices gave the winning trophy to EPCA Vice President Commanders XI. Bilal extended his interest in the game and sponsored EPCA's 1st T20 of the season with the tournament being named Aftab Spices EPCA ka Junoon.
Adeel, owner of SAQ Company, presented the winning trophy to Abdullah from Tamimi C.C. Adeel encouraged the teams and players to play with the spirit of a sportsman.
Farhat awarded the trophy to winning captain Umer Khan Lodhi from Intelligent Honda C.C. He thanked the audiences and sponsors for making it a successful event. — SG
