RIYADH – The CEO of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Amr Banajeh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Al-Qiddiya Investment Company. The MoU was signed at the GEA headquarters here on Monday where Al-Qiddiya was represented by its CEO Michael Reininger, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. The signing of the MoU comes within the GEA program for foreign scholarships launched last week. The MoU aims to achieve cooperation in a joint program for developing human capital, as the beginning of this cooperation will be marked with the sending of 60 male and female students on scholarship to obtain bachelor's degrees from Rosen College for Hospitality Management at Central Florida University in the US. The first batch of students will get scholarships in specializations like events management and entertainment management. The 5-year program is set to begin in the autumn of 2019. The studies include studying the English language and practical training at Six Flags Company until the student graduates and joins Al-Qiddiya Project. This partnership will strive to achieve the goals of Al-Qiddiya, which includes creating new occupational sectors and building necessary skills and expertise for developing these sectors. Applicants are vying to register so as to win a scholarship in the program.
