JEDDAH — The winners of the seventh edition of the "National Auto Award 2019" organized by PR Arabia were announced at a glittering ceremony in Jeddah. The awards highlighted and recognized brilliance in the auto sector amid a packed house of industry leaders, eminent representatives of industry bodies and auto enthusiasts. The awards which took place at Jeddah Hilton witnessed the attendance of Hassan Dahlan, secretary general of Jeddah Chamber, Dr. Walid Kattan, chairman of the organizing committee, top executives and regional managers of auto companies and a large number of auto and local media. Every year, a panel of experts, public and car enthusiasts take part in the voting to select their favorite cars. Assessments for both the categories are based on a series of stringent parameters, such as price, fuel efficiency, styling, comfort, safety, performance, practicality, technical innovation and build quality. The motorsport awards were introduced significantly after the effective steps and the great development in the Saudi motorsport, both locally and internationally after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted two major events: The Race of Champions and the first round of the FormulaE World Championships well as the good achievements of a number of the Kingdom's champions in this field. Qattan presented the awards to the winning teams. He said "THE National Auto Awards are like the Oscars of the Saudi auto industry, rewarding the most exciting vehicles that have been introduced on Saudi roads this year. Every year, the best ones are chosen amongst the leaders." A number of prizes were awarded to businesses directly related to technologies and software in the automotive world in addition to agents interested in this future technology as well as the new models for 2018-2019. Private categories were directly associated with the automotive business sector, including media, marketing campaigns, as well as future hybrid and electric vehicles, special prizes were awarded to them in recognition of their efforts in this field.
