Planas JEDDAH – Lance & 3rdy soundly beat Petromin Express in their two-game semifinals to set up the championship match of this L'Occitane-supported FEDBG-FMBL 12th conference against Pin Slasher at Bowling City here recently. Mother and daughter starred with team manager Evelyn Santoc brightly kegling with 224 and 202 and Shirley Sagmit posted games of 194 and 241. With Marcelo Manalo and Ver Jasa contributing 625 each, Lance & 3rdy was in total control of the match as Med Ramos and Team Captain Ric Reformado delivered averages of 383 and 370 in two games. Petromin Express was fighting Lance & 3rdy well halfway through game one. But when Manalo stretched his bags for 219, Jerry Carredo was bogged downed under pressure. Alma Bacero, Rolly Vistal, Imelda Sayago tried to repulse with 230, 212 and 208 alongside Paolo Allego and Jeff San Pedro, Petromin Express lagged by 62 pins at 1,215-1,153 on the first salvo. Taking a 95-pin advantage into the second and last game, Lance and 3rdy just traded marks to finish off Petromin Express on the final tally of 2,466-2,297. Petromin Expres was defended by Bacero with 427, Vistal with 416 and Sayago with 391. Lance & 3rdy will face the defending champion, Pin Slasher, on Friday, March 15 at 8:30 a.m. They will get a chance to challenge the kegling skills of Class O captain Roger Daquioag, Gerry Mandanas, Dariel Loquias, Jay Bengco, Carling Constantino and the most prolific lady bowler in town May Lourdes.
