Canon demonstrates complete end to end printing environment at Gulf Print & Pack
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 04 - 2019

CANON Middle East joins Gulf Print and Pack 2019, the renowned print technology sourcing show for printers and Print Service Providers (PSPs), to showcase the company's successful evolution over the last ten years, from introducing professional print services in 2009 to emerging as the market leader in the region in 2019.
At the event, the company will highlight its extensive, and presently the largest, range of products and visionary industry-focused solutions as well as the right tools to systematically uncover the full potential of the Central Reprographic Department (CRD). Through live demonstrations of designated zones for prepress, press and post press, Canon will present the complete management of the production workflow of the printing operation of the CRD while showcasing the capabilities of its different technologies at different stages, in delivering finished products. With innovation and integration in mind, visitors will also be shown how to link decentralized office environments with Managed Print Services (MPS) and digital workflows to CRDs.
According to a report by Smithers Pira on the future of printing in the Middle East and North Africa, since 2017 up until 2022, the fastest growing print process will be digital, mirroring the wider transformation in global print usage and the increasing penetration of these systems into packaging. Through this holistic example of a complete printing ecosystem, Canon aims to help businesses discover new ways to increase overall productivity to handle growing output, unlock new efficiencies, and introduce them to the additional capabilities of digital technologies.
"Technological advances mean that businesses need to be constantly innovating to keep up with changing demands and stand out in an increasingly competitive environment. It also implies new opportunities to expand creatively. Canon is committed to helping organizations capitalize on the increased quality and functionality of digital print technology, drawing from our extensive expertise in this sector over the last ten years." said Shadi Bakhour, Business Unit Director, B2B, Canon Middle East. "At Gulf Print and Pack this year, we bring together our partners and customers to inspire businesses in the region to transform their print operation with the help of creative ideas and the latest innovations in the industry."
We hope that by walking through the process, customers will be encouraged to take strides towards unlocking their full printing potential."
In addition to presenting a complete value proposition for businesses, Canon will also unveil the newly launched imagePRESS C910. Building on the success of its predecessor, the imagePRESS C850 series, this enhanced range incorporates the proven, high-performance professional print technology associated with the imagePRESS platform while delivering increased productivity and an even wider applications range. The toner-based series comprises three models – the imagePRESS C910, C810 and C710 – offering market-leading production speeds of up to 90ppm, 80ppm and 70ppm respectively, on stocks up to 350gsm. Designed for typical monthly production volumes of up to 500,000 A4 pages, overall productivity is optimised with minimal service intervals, while the printers' intuitive design and ease of use makes them suitable for all types of customer, including those with no experience of colour management or finishing.
Since the launch of its regional headquarters in the United Arab Emirates in 1998, Canon has continued to grow its presence in the Middle East with the establishment of direct operations in strategic markets including Canon Emirates and Canon Saudi Arabia. According to a recent report by infoSource , Canon has earned the top rank in the categories of cut-sheet and continuous feed across the Middle Eastern countries. Adopting a consultative approach and with a focus on after-sales service and customized service offering, the company has also reported above 90% customer satisfaction . "With the enhancement of Canon's in-country presence, the company has continually demonstrated its commitment to operating closer to customers and meeting their demands by diversifying its business offering in solutions and services," continued Shadi Bakhour.
Canon will be joined by some of its customers at the exhibition including Packageha from Saudi Arabia, Design Factory from Lebanon, Promotech and Printonlinehd.com from United Arab Emirates. Industry experts will be present as well to provide insight into transforming the CRD from ‘just' the in-house print and copying department into a communication service provider that's vital to the organization.
