The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and president of Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA), Ahdiya Ahmed, signed here today a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement aims at enhancing cooperation between the two sides in research and studies, training programmes, data and publications, as well as organizing joint events of conferences and workshops in order to enhance the efficiency of information access. Dr. Shaikh Abdullah congratulated BJA's president and members of the Board of Directors on the occasion of winning the last Assembly Elections, praising the role of the Bahraini press to serve issues with great credibility and professionalism. 'Derasat aims to strengthen cooperation and partnerships with Bahrain's institutions and to provide excellent research and intellectual production to meet the requirements to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs).', he said. Ahdiya expressed her pleasure to sign the MoU which will play an important role in the preparation of objective studies, organising events and providing best research practices. SG
