A joint team of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Taif Municipality arrested seven Arab workers peddling aphrodisiacs and carcinogenic (cancer causing) creams in shops in the central market on Okaz Street and in Al-Balad District. Over 3,000 expired, spoiled and carcinogenic medical packs were seized. Investigations proved the workers had concocted a mixture of stimulants, honey and intoxicants. The team found aphrodisiac packs each costing over SR500 in shops as well as perfumes bearing unusual expressions. The seized quantities – estimated at SR400,000 – were destroyed and the arrested workers were handed over to the concerned authorities. – Okaz __
