Sutter leads Pens past Canadiens

MONTREAL — Brandon Sutter's second goal of the game 52 seconds into overtime lifted the Pittsburgh Penguins to a wild 7-6 victory over the Montreal Canadiens Saturday.
Sutter took a pass from Simon Despres on a rush, stepped around Max Pacioretty, and beat goalie Carey Price with a high shot to help Pittsburgh end a two-game skid and avoid being swept on a three-game road trip.
Matt Cooke and Chris Kunitz, both netted two goals, and Sidney Crosby also scored for Pittsburgh (14-8).
Brian Gionta had a pair of goals, and Brandon Prust, Pacioretty, David Desharnais and P.K. Subban also scored as Montreal (13-4-4) stretched its string of games without a regulation loss to 10.
Bruins 3, Lightning 2: Brad Marchand scored a tiebreaking goal on the power play with 2:16 left in the third period, completing Boston's comeback from a two-goal deficit against Tampa Bay and extending the Bruins' winning streak to six straight.
Marchand 11th goal of the season came late in a double high-sticking penalty to Brendan Mikkelson. It was the second power-play goal of the game for the Bruins, who hadn't scored at home with a man advantage entering the game.
Tyler Seguin also scored on the power play for the Bruins 3:22 into the second period, pulling Boston within 2-1. Rich Peverley tied it 1:17 later.
Patrice Bergeron and Marchand broke free for a 2-on-1 late in the third for the tiebreaking goal.
Steven Stamkos and Alexander Killorn scored for Tampa Bay, both on power plays in the first period.
Flyers 2, Senators 1: Jakub Voracek and Wayne Simmonds scored goals and Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 33 shots to help Philadelphia defeat Ottawa.
Sabres 4, Devils 3, SO: Jason Pominville scored twice in regulation and added a shootout goal, and Buffalo extended its winning streak to three games by beating New Jersey.
Capitals 3, Jets 0: Braden Holtby stopped 35 shots and Mike Ribeiro had a goal and an assist and Washington defeated Winnipeg.
Matt Hendricks and Todd Brouwer, with his team-leading ninth goal of the season, also scored for Washington.
Hurricanes 6, Panthers 2: Jussi Jokinen scored twice and added an assist, and Riley Nash netted his first goal as part of a three-point night in Carolina's win over Florida.
Coyotes 5, Ducks 4, SO: Steve Sullivan scored the tying goal with 6:28 remaining in regulation and then netted the lone goal in the SO to lift Phoenix over Anaheim.
Sharks 2, Predators 1: Dan Boyle and Joe Pavelski got San Jose's struggling power-play unit going with goals that helped the Sharks beat Nashville.
Canucks 5, Kings 2: Daniel Sedin and Jannik Hansen scored 2:44 apart late in the second period to lead Vancouver over Los Angeles. — Agencies
