Desi cruise trip sails in melodious waves

JEDDAH – A grand multicultural musical night was organized by a community organization “Desi Entertainers” on Thursday on a cruise ship.
The event was attended by more than 300 people from different nationalities like Saudis, Indians,Pakistanis,Bangladeshis among others.
The highlights of the event were the theme performers versus members of the audience, and a competition for the newly married couples.
There were lots of other competitions which brought forth different talents of the audiences, winners were awarded with prizes.
And as the name suggests the organizers, left no stone unturned to entertain the guests on the five-hour trip.
Waheed Aldrees sang the famous Bollywood song “Yamma Yamma,” and Zubair Siddiqui, a member of “Desi Entertainers,” danced on songs like “Ek Pal Ka Jeena,” “Party On My Mind” and other upbeat numbers.
Hisham, another dancer, set the stage on fire with his bone-cracking dance performance. Abdul Mannan, a multi-talented performer, sang hit numbers and danced on “Blue” from the movie “Blue.” He also tickled the funny bones of the audience with his mimicry talent.
Amjad Khan sang a Telugu song, and Fareed Khaja, the president of “Desi Entertainers,” sang two songs of the legendary Kishore Kumar on public demand and mesmerized everyone on board.
The most surprising segment of the evening was the DJ party. DJ Prince Sahil (Siddiqui) took everyone by surprise with his dance song collection.
People of all age group enjoyed the event and everyone was made to participate and have a good time.
“Every time we try to do new things to get people smile and this time it was really big. We had performers from the audience who proved that if they get a platform to showcase their talents, they can do wonders,” said Mohammed Al-Mohammedi, founder and chairman of “Desi Entertainers.”
“After a long week of work, we need a day to relax and have fun. This event was entertaining and relaxing as it was conducted on a cruise in the middle of the Red Sea,” said Naveed.
The event was hosted by Mohammed Aamir, Ibrahim Malik and Al-Mohammedi. It was sponsored by Fareed khaja.
It was organized by Adil Atique, Arshad Sharief, Siddiqui, Asim Mazher, Badr Mufti, Ibrahim Malik, Faisal Khaja, Fareed Khaja, Abdul Mannan, Al-Mohammedi, Shaista Baig and Aldrees .
