CHICAGO — The Chicago Blackhawks extended their record for the best start in league history, shutting out the Columbus Blue Jackets 1-0 Sunday behind a 28-save performance by goaltender Corey Crawford. Crawford posted his second shutout of the season as he made his first start since Feb. 12. Andrew Shaw scored the only goal for Chicago who improved to 5-0-1 in their seven-game home stand which continues against the Edmonton Oilers Monday. Steve Mason stopped 26-of-27 shots for Columbus, who have lost nine consecutive games to Chicago. Columbus dropped to 2-8-0 as the road team this season. Bryan Bickell set up Shaw from behind the net with 1:27 remaining in the second period for the Blackhawks' only goal on the game. Crawford made 13 saves in the second period for Chicago, who are 7-0-1 at the United Center arena this season.
