AL-BAHA — The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiques has fined a hotel for communicating in English with a guest, a local newspaper reported. It has also fined three other tourism accommodation establishments for violating the commission's no-smoking instructions. Three months back, the commission had circulated a memo with a list of instructions: receptionists of all hotels and furnished apartments should communicate in Arabic with guests; they should follow the Hijri calendar; smoking is banned and the staff had also been advised to refrain from it. — SG
