Saudi Gazette report JAZAN — Relatives of a Yemeni man who was murdered by his friend has pardoned the killer after Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah intervened in the case. Yahya Abdoh Jalabi was killed by fellow Yemeni Yahya Musawa Qetainah after a fight between the two, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported. Qetainah was subsequently convicted and sentenced to death. The family said they pardoned Qetainah, who has already served six years in Jazan General Prison, with the intention of winning Allah's reward and in response to the King's intervention. Ali Mousa Za'lah, Chairman of the Committee for Care of Prisoners and Released Persons (Tarahum) in Jazan, said news of the King's intervention was conveyed to them by the office of Prince Turki Bin Abdullah. He paid tribute to the Central Committee for Reconciliation in Jazan province under the chairmanship of Jazan Emir Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser. The committee members traveled between the Kingdom and Yemen in an effort to obtain the consent of the victim's family to drop their case.
