Bling Your Smartphone to the Next Level

LUXURY starts with the Apple iPhone; already considered to be a premium device. For many, a handset is thought of as an extension of self. Discerning individuals will never be happy with a mass produced product. They will look for ways to make it better reflect their personal style. If cost is not a consideration, there are many lovely options for enhancing Apple's latest smartphone.
Start with changing the original housing. That results in the beautiful handsets from Amosu Luxury and Computer Choppers. Amosu Luxury has launched two versions of the Amosu Diamond iPhone 5. Both handsets are made of 18kt solid white or yellow gold set with approximately 5.36 carats of diamonds in the frame. Every handset can be personalized with colored diamonds as desired and the individual's name can also be engraved into the housing. About three to four weeks are required to create each piece, with prices starting at £15,000.
If 18kt gold is not enough, then Alex Wiley suggests that Computer Chopper's polished 24kt gold iPhone may be just perfect.
“Our process is a very difficult one,” explained Wiley. “We add metal coatings over the top of the original aluminum Apple parts. Many of our customers wish for a polished mirror finish and obtaining the perfect reflection is very time consuming. Computer Choppers gives each product a warranty.
Typically, the Apple warranty is void because we have to disassemble the entire product. If through daily activity a part is damaged, we request the item be sent to our tech facility or a preferred independent local repair center in a particular country for servicing. Even if the iPhone is broken, we can replace the internal hardware so the beautiful plating and jewelry on each item may be used for many, many years.”
Perhaps though taking a very expensive handset everywhere is not ideal. Who knows? Travel, entertainment or even business could result in situations where an ordinary handset is occasionally required. So instead of changing the iPhone 5's housing, why not splash out for a luxurious, removable case?
The Natural Sapphire Company in New York City claims that its case will make the excitement of a new iPhone 5 “last forever.” Their iPhone 5 case is crafted of 18kt white gold and set with 2,830 natural blue Ceylon sapphires, totaling 169.8 carats. The Apple logo is set with 38 rubies totaling 2.28 carats, and the Apple's leaf is a single marquise cut green sapphire. Total cost for this amazing case? $100,000.
“Like our design, but want some personalization? We would be happy to work with you to make this rare iPhone case an extension of your own personality and creativity. Platinum, pink sapphires, yellow sapphires, etc., are just some of the colorful options we offer,” noted Evan Guttman, CIO, The Natural Sapphire Company.
A case covered in sapphires is quite a spectacular piece of jewelry, perfect for a party or a night on the town. However, for anytime elegance, the Uunique London Lotus maybe a better choice. Valued at £189,000, this iPhone 5 case is inspired by the Water Lotus symbolizing strength, progress, purity and prosperity. The Uunique London Lotus is made of 18kt rose gold, adorned with black, white and pink diamonds and accented with intricate mother of pearl inlay. The case is accompanied by a bespoke crocodile skin clutch purse, with an ostrich leather lining and adorned with the brand elements in rose gold charms. It's ideal for tucking away the phone between calls.
Unfortunately, these luxuries are the province of only a few. Are you an aspirational individual who can't yet live your dreams? Then go to Zazzle.com and create a custom case for your phone. Wrap your ordinary handset in a motivational design that provides encouragement every day to reach for more and turn those dreams into reality.
