Butt Sports clinches ITS T10 Cup

JEDDAH — Butt Sports clinched the first Caliber ITS T10 Cup defeating Jawar Al-Jazira in an exciting and tense final where the pendulum kept swinging from one team to other till Butt Sports emerged the winner by 4 runs.
Butt Sports scored 158-6. Main contributors were Imran 49, Abdul Rahman 20, Javed 25 and Tariq 33. Shan and Omar claimed 2 wickets each for 32 and 22 runs, respectively. In reply, Jawar Al-Jazira was coasting toward victory with 9 runs to win when it lost 3 wickets, two of them run out, and could add only 4 runs in the last over to be restricted to 154. Shan scored 48, Asim 36, Majid Bhatti 37.
Imran claimed 2-13 and Zeeshan bowled the last over, in which 3 wickets fell conceding only 4 runs. Atif had 1-39 and Omar 1-19.
Earlier in the semis Butt Sports beat Al-Khulais by 117 runs. Butt Sports scored 221-5 (Imran 32, Tariq 72, Junaid 67, Ijaz 24, Adnan 2-37); Al-Khulais 104-8 (Akmal 20, Omar 2-27, Imran 2-23, Atif 2-14, Javed 2-17).
In the other semifinals Jawar Al-Jazira beat Kanoo Travel by 8 wickets.
Kanoo Travel 132 (Amer 50, Irfan 28, Zahid 3-22, Kamran 2-22); Jawar Al-Jazira 137-2 (Asim 60, Shaan 63).
The quarterfinals results were as follows: Al-Khulais-XI beat MHA. MHA scored 172 (Khalid 51, Ali 39, Usman 32, Usman 2-38, Khalil 2-19); Al-Khulais-XI 172-2 (Akmal 63, Adnan 34, Zahoor 41, Ali 2-35).
Butt Sports beat Pak Young by 20 runs. Butt Sports 175-4 (Imran 32, Javed 62, Junaid 56, Riaz Afridi 2-26); Pak Young 155 (Ahsan 39, Fazal 20, Munawar 32, Javed 3-12, Zeeshan 2-25, Abdul Rahman 2-40).
Kanoo Travel beat ACE Travel by 8 runs. Kanoo Travel 145-5 (Irfan 55, Akbar 56, Ashfaq 4-25); Ace Travels 137-6 (Wahaj 60, Imran 30, Haroon 2-27).
Jawar Al-Jazira beat Stallions by 16 runs. Jawar Al-Jazira 152 (Asim 37, Amir Shahzad 42, Tariq 21, Shaan 36); Stallions 136 (Hassan Ali 40, Rafay 30, Waqas 25, Zahid 3-20, Asim 2-35, Shan 3-32).
A prize distribution ceremony was held after the final. The chief guest, Mohammed Ismail, Executive Director of Caliber ITS, awarded the cup, the cash awards and the performance awards to the teams and individuals.
The Best Batsman award was picked up by Asim of Jawar Al-Jazira, Best Bowler (Atif of Butt Sports) and Best All-Rounder (Wahaj of Ace Travel).
Zeeshan picked up the Man of the Final honors.
Mohammed Ismail appreciated the efforts put in by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) in organizing the event. He congratulated the teams and individuals who picked up the prizes.
Earlier JCA President Mohammed Iqbal welcomed the chief guest and thanked him for supporting the sports association by sponsoring the first T10 Cup.
Iqbal also thanked Mohammed Ayaz, CEO of Caliber ITS, for his support in sponsoring the event.
