Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 11 - 2012

UNITED Electronics Company (eXtra), Saudi Arabia's fastest-growing consumer electronics and home appliance retailer, opened Tuesday the 1,200 square meter service center in the south of Riyadh, the biggest in the central region and third in the Kingdom.
Located in the Suwaidi district, the center's workshops are equipped and certified to service and repair different electronics products, like all types of TVs, computers and cameras, as well as home appliances like washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators and small home appliances.
The center accommodates high caliber, professionally accredited technicians to repair all types of electronics products from all the well-known brand names. This will assure exceptional after sales services for its customers in the Central region either through the service outlets available in all eXtra stores or through the toll free number 800-124-0900 for customers asking for home service.
eXtra is an authorized services center for the repair of electronic devices from leading brands, such as BenQ, Acer, Samsung (laptops), HP, Vestel and Philips.
Mohammad Galal, CEO, United Electronics Company (eXtra), said: “The size and design of our new Riyadh service center were chosen carefully in order to support the tremendous growth that we have witnessed in the Central region, while ensuring that we offer the best after sales services to our customers in the region. With its international standards and staffed by a highly trained team of technicians, the center will serve approximately 11 eXtra stores in the central region, ensuring that our customers' electronics and appliances products can be repaired in the fastest possible time and to the highest possible standard.”
Galal added: “Our 29 stores around the Kingdom have dedicated service locations inside the stores to service everything from mobile phones to laptops, and with this additional center we remain committed to our customers in ensuring we provide an unsurpassed level of service.”
eXtra was recently voted by one of the Kingdom's leading economic newspapers as offering the “Best Retail Working Environment in the Kingdom.”
The company was also named as one of “The Top 200 Companies in the GCC” by Forbes Middle East, and also ranked as one of the Top 5 Services companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In both 2010 and 2011, eXtra was cited by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) as one of the Kingdom's fastest-growing companies.
In addition, eXtra was also recently named as one of the Arabia 500 top companies in recognition of its exceptional growth and sustained commercial success. — SG
