MUMBAI — Celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani dared to stand up to Salman Khan, superstar and “Bigg Boss” host, in the reality game show's eviction episode last Friday. The bold and tattooed Bhavnani called Khan a “serial woman-beater” followed by a series of profanities, which made even Bigg Boss producers Endemol cringe, according to The Times of India. Although the verbal spat between Bhavnani and Khan could have earned the show a healthy TRP (television rating point), the producers reportedly decided to play safe and edited the incendiary scenes. Bhavnani's outburst was followed by a rebuke from Khan, when during a chat with the contestants Khan told her, “If you are not here to play the game, are you on a picnic at a resort?” Khan was responding to Bhavnani's claim that she was not on the show for the prize money. The upcoming eviction episode on Friday will be an interesting watch, as once again Khan and Bhavnani will come face to face. — SG
