RIYADH — Twelve interesting matches were played in the RCA BSF T20 Cup.
In Super League, Lahore Lions beat KFSH Blues by 26 runs. Electing to bat first, Lahore Lions scored a competitive 190-6, helped by 70 by Owais and 34 by Salman Butt. Saqib Abbasi took 2 wickets while Qaiser, Qasim and Imtiaz grabbed one each.
Nasir Abbasi gave an explosive start to KFSH Blues by scoring 43 off 21 balls, but after his fall KFSH Blues batting lineup crumbled and could only score 164-8. Qaiser was the only other major contributor with 40. Mansoor took 3 wickets while Nawaz and Jamshed chipped in with 2 each.
Shuraim beat Fuchs by 6 wickets. Batting first, Fuchs could only manage 153, thanks to very tight bowling by Shuraim. Javaid was the top scorer with 62 runs. Faisal and Zeeshan took 2 wickets each.
Shuraim chased the target comfortably in 14 overs and got two valuable points. Waqas continued his great form with the bat and scored 94 not out off 45 balls. Aziz took 2 wickets.
Amir Holidays upset Pak Shaheen by 5 wickets. Batting first, Pak Shaheen scored 188 in 20 overs through Usman 46 and Abdul Qadir 42. Arslan took 3 wickets while Saeed Rahim and Samiullah took 2 each. Amir Holidays achieved the target in 19 overs. Kamran Hadi scored a brilliant 57 off 27 balls.
Ahtisham contributed 54. Abdul Wahab and Abdul Salam took 2 wickets each.
In another match, BSF beat Ayoun Al-Badr by 3 wickets. Batting first, Ayoun Al-Badr could only score 153. Sheraz was the highest scorer with 40, followed by Ahmer Waheed 28 and Ali Shahid 28. BSF reached the target in 17.5 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Imran Khan took 2 wickets.
In Premier League I, Attieh Steel beat Hyderabadi Warriors by 8 wickets.
Hyderabadi Warriors scored 223. Ramzan took 2 wickets. Attieh Steel raced to the target in 18.4 overs. Nasir scored his second consecutive century of the tournament and remained unbeaten on 142 off just 56 balls. Amir made 40 and Asif 23.
Riyadh Warriors beat Thales by 4 wickets. Thales scored 145. Fahad made 37. Ayaz and Abdul Ghafoor took 3 wickets each and Shaik got 2. Riyadh Warriors scored 148 in 18.2 overs through Asif 30, Ayaz 28 and Shaik 23. Asim and Fahad took 2 wickets each for Thales.
RAC beat Stallions by 5 wickets. Stallions scored 204-8. RAC achieved the target and registered their first win of the BSF Cup. Mudassir scored 60, Amjad 43 and Zahid Mir 23.
KFSH Greens won their third game in a row by beating Riyadh Fighters by 72 runs. Batting first, KFSH Greens scored 243 runs on the strength of Naeem who hit 89 runs in 42 balls and Sajjad 65 of 36 balls. Riyadh Fighters buckled down against some excellent new ball bowling by Inayat and Kausar who took 2 wickets each. Fighters managed 171 through Nusrat 72 and Arshad 52.
In Premier League II, Green Bangla beat TBCC by 14 runs. Batting first, Green Bangla scored 167. Al-Amin was the highest scorer with 39 runs. Sohel made a useful contribution with 30. In reply, TBCC managed 153. Fazal grabbed 3 wickets while Shamim and Faisal took 2 each. Kashmir Press beat Kashmir XI. Batting first, Kashmir XI scored 115. Waseem was the top scorer with 22. Imtiaz and Qasim took 3 wickets each. Kashmir Press achieved the target in 7.5 overs for the loss of only two wickets. Imtiaz scored 65 and Waseem 31.
Seham beat Combined XI by 3 wickets. Batting first, Combined XI scored 207 in 20 overs. Mohammed Fayyaz scored 105 not out, Asmat Shahzad 27 and Kashif 21. Majid took 2 wickets. Seham reached the target in 17.3 overs, helped by a great knock of 91 by Ali. Amjid was the other notable scorer with 39. Abdul Qayyum took 3 wickets.
Riyadh Panthers beat Pak Force by 6 wickets. Batting first, Pak Force scored 188 in 20 overs. Tauseef and Raza got 2 wickets each for Riyadh Panthers. Riyadh Panthers won in 16 overs. Waqar scored 40, Tahir 39 and Yassir 38.
