Kanoo Travel, American Express in deal to ease corporate travel costs
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 08 - 10 - 2012

KANOO Travel and American Express Middle East recently signed a partnership to offer large and mid-sized companies the American Express Business Travel Account - an effective and streamlined way to manage corporate travel expenses.
With this partnership, Kanoo Travel, the leading travel management company (TMCs) and pioneer of the travel industry in the GCC, becomes one of the first travel-focused organizations to introduce the American Express Business Travel Account (BTA) in the region, enabling Kanoo clients to consolidate their corporate travel expenses through one centralized account, requiring one single payment. This provides organizations with enhanced visibility, simpler reconciliation processes and reduced paperwork. As a result they benefit from accurate data which enables them to maximum control over expenses, helping them to save time and money.
“As pioneers in the Gulf's travel industry, our objective is to continue innovating, expanding our scope of services and offering our customers the very latest in travel management solutions. I sincerely hope that our valued customers across all regional, Middle Eastern and Northern African markets will embrace and benefit from the BTA program, and further build their travel management program to be more effective, efficient and productive,” said Nabeel Kanoo, Director, Kanoo Travel.
“With a strong portfolio of over a thousand multi-national and local corporate customers in this region, I am confident the Business Travel Account will help companies achieve enhanced management control over their travel expenses as all billing is methodically archived in a centralized database. Reporting can be customized based on various factors including departmental or specific cost centers, which helps stakeholders in monitoring and budgeting cost”, he added.
“American Express is delighted to work with Kanoo Travel, our long-term partner for travel-related products in the region, to offer this innovative solution to their travel clients,” said Mazin Khoury, Chief Executive Officer, American Express Middle East. “Managing and coordinating the travel spend of several employees can be a resource-intensive process that adds significant costs to an organization. Integrated billing solutions like the BTA can facilitate streamlined business travel expense processes that enable greater flexibility and cost control.”
He added: “Companies using the American Express Business Travel Account stand to benefit from savings on process costs related to the reconciliation of travel expenses, as well as from strengthened management control of such costs.” – SG
