Torres, Salyng Kits bag awards

RIYADH — Zaldy Torres and the Salyng Kits have all the reasons to be jubilant. They romped-away the Best Bowler and the Best Team of the Week awards, respectively, during the 15th week of action of the Hala International Mabuhay Mobily-Globe Friday Bowling League, 2nd Conference.
Itqan Bowlers Group is organizing the event, which is being played at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) every Friday afternoon.
Torres equipped with 16 handicaps bagged the Bowler of the Week honor by posting an impressive four-game series of 968. Torres carded 200, 247, 258 and 199. Torres' outstanding display lifted Itqan Tornado to wallop Pinbusters 22–5.
Providing splendid support to Torres and Itqan Tenpin Wizards, mentored by Belle Sabico, were fellow members Ruben Babasa (861), Ric Urrutia Jr. (801), Jett Cabana (781) and Belle Sabico (768).
Manny Lebrilla, together with Marvin Arocena and Fhel Ramos, shone in the Pinbusters by posting series of 876, 864 and 807. Graceful Lulu Quejada and Mel Ancheta shared series of 789 and 743.
Salyng Kits, piloted by Benny Mondoy, outsmarted SABB Strikers 25-12 to claim the Team of the Week accolade. Benny was at the helm in Salyng Kits by knocking down a four-game series of 921. Sharing bowling limelight with Benny was the duo of Joel Lambo (851) and Edgar Buenaventura (605). Chito Llagas and Alex Tajan produced 424 and 406 series in two outings, while Atoi Ramos had 397 series in two outings.
The troika of Noel Morales, Resty de Jesus and Ahmed Al-Qarqoush delighted by tallying separate series of 840, 775 and 746. Freddie Solomon scored 560 points, while Allan John Ofreneo and Victor Edan added 390 and 379.
In another fashion, Itqan Tenpin Wizards devastated Xperts 24-6. Submitting the best output for Itqan Tenpin Wizards were Nap Torres (854), Arnold Jesena (834) and Fernie Balano (796). Doy del Moral and Reynald Medina poured in 444 and 351 series in two games.
On top for the Xperts team was Roger Butler with 830 points. He was followed by Ernee Noto (824) and Will Kirby (818). Anas Hamid and Philip Colvin downed series of 654 and 491.
The games between NBA and Roll and Bowl ended 21-18 in favor of NBA. At the helm for NBA was Joel Batolina with 897 points. Six-time Perfect 300 holder southpaw Ronald Bautista, Joe Garrido and Art “fiscal” Yukong followed Batolina by producing series of 856, 838 and 821. Earl de Vera collected 773 points. Andy Carasid fired 890 points to lead Roll and Bowl. Following him were Ernie Tulang (833) and Archie Oliva (821). Durable Fred Dioquino sealed 789 points, while Edgar C. had 749 points.
Other results: D'Pirates beat Air21 21-18; Great Balls of Fire beat Saco 21-13; Bankrun beat Magnificent-5 19-11.
