I agree with the views of Dr. Khaled Batarfi in his article “Hate Speech and the Makkah Summit” last Thursday. As a Muslim, I wish that our Ummah would speak in one voice, irrespective of differences in opinion on many issues. Different Muslim sects follow different schools of thought but all Muslims should unite behind the teachings of our Prophet (peace be upon him). To go back to the glorious days we need to go back to the tenets of the Holy Qur'an in the real sense. The initiative of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, to create a center for dialogue in Riyadh is commendable for the sake of understanding among Muslim and unity of the Ummah.
