Col. Masoud Al-Adwani, commander of Public Security Training City in Makkah, said the drive is organized every year right before Ramadan and seeks to support central blood banks in Makkah. “This is a religious and a human duty which security officers are proud of fulfilling. The drive continues for an entire week and all security officers including cadets participate in it," he said. Nayef Al-Zahrani, a lab technician in charge of the Central Blood Bank, said the drive supports Makkah hospitals. “Every day we receive 500 security officers who want to donate blood."
